Career
Developed real-time interactive VR attractions for a themed entertainment venue. Shipped multiple titles on PC VR hardware — responsible for shaders, LOD systems, and artist-facing tooling.

Integrated technical art across CG pipelines for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Supported look-dev and deformation systems for hero characters and environments through production and delivery.

Architecting real-time AR effects for Meta's social platforms. Building custom GLSL shaders, procedural tools, and optimised render pipelines that ship immersive features to hundreds of millions of users on Instagram and Facebook.

Yimin is a Technical Artist who specializes in making tools, shaders, and real-time effects. He is currently working at Meta, helping to bring metaverse experience to Meta's social media apps through augmented reality. Previously, he has worked on multiple VR experiences for a Transformer VR center, and on films such as Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Through his diverse work experiences across games, films, and tech, he has developed a robust generalist skill set while leveraging specialized learnings from each industry.
Yimin also loves venturing in an ever-more emerging intersection of art and technology, always staying up to date with the latest breakthroughs in generative AIs and Large Language Models. Outside of work, he enjoys making fun prototypes with new tech and exploring new places with a camera in hand.
